Turning Copper and Zinc Into Higher Coins

Why Copper and Zinc Matter

Copper Coin and Zinc Coin are the foundation of the Ordinary Coins Mod. Almost every other coin traces back to them through crafting_shaped recipes, so the fastest way to reach the valuable coins is to mass-produce these two first.

Gather copper and zinc in bulk, then craft them into Copper Coin and Zinc Coin at a crafting table. Do not stop at a handful — you will burn through them quickly once you start upgrading.

Upgrade Path

From your base stock, work upward through the tiers:

1. Combine Copper Coin and Zinc Coin into Iron Coin.

2. Convert Iron Coin into Gold Coin.

3. Push Gold Coin into Emerald Coin and Diamond Coin.

4. Finish at Netherite Coin, the highest tier.

Each conversion is a crafting_shaped recipe, meaning the position of each coin on the grid matters. Keep the lower-tier coins in the exact slots the pattern requires. A common mistake is swapping which coin goes in which corner — if nothing appears in the output slot, rearrange the inputs.

Because every step consumes the previous coin, plan your ratios. Decide how many Netherite Coins you want, then work backward: that tells you how many Gold Coin, Iron Coin, and base coins you need to craft. Build the whole chain in one sitting to avoid leftover partial stacks cluttering your inventory.
