Maximize Performance on Low-End Hardware

Why Optimize Shaders Runs Smoothly

This shader pack achieves high frame rates by removing shadow calculations—the most demanding part of realistic lighting. Instead of computing where shadows fall, it uses flat colored light that looks good and costs far less processing power.

Check Your Frame Rate

Launch your world and open the debug screen (F3 on most setups) to monitor your FPS. Optimize Shaders should maintain smooth gameplay even on older laptops or devices that struggle with heavy shader packs.

Further Optimization Tips

If you're still experiencing lag, reduce your render distance in Video Settings. Lower chunk render distances have a bigger impact on performance than shader choice. You can also disable fancy graphics, reduce particle effects, or lower your resolution temporarily.

Optimize Shaders is already stripped down for performance, so if you're still dropping frames, the bottleneck is likely your hardware's overall specs rather than the shader pack itself. Focus on other video settings first.
