How to Use Mag Cards and RFID Cards for Access Control

Write the card

Place a Card Writer and open its interface. Insert a blank Mag Card or RFID Card. Assign the card to a player by writing their NanoDNA to it, or set it as a generic access card. The Card Writer stores the credential on the card so readers can verify it later.

Choose the right reader

Use a Mag Card Reader for Mag Cards and an RFID Reader for RFID Cards. Place the reader next to the door or device you want to protect. If you need the reader to blend into a wall, use the Camouflage Mag Card Reader instead — it functions the same as a Mag Card Reader but can be disguised.

Link to a Door Controller

Place a Door Controller next to your Secure Door, Private Security Door, or MagReader Security Door. Open the Security Terminal and register the reader as an input and the Door Controller as the output. Swipe the card on the reader; if the credential matches, the Door Controller opens the door.

Managing multiple users

Write a separate card for each player and register each one in the Security Terminal. To revoke access, remove that card's entry from the terminal. Cards written with a specific NanoDNA only work for that player's registered identity.
