How to Craft and Place an Elevator Block

Crafting the Block

Every elevator color is made from a crafting recipe that uses a dye of that color plus a base block. To get a White Elevator, combine the base block with White dye in a crafting grid. For a Black Elevator, use Black dye. The same pattern applies across the full color set: Blue Elevator, Brown Elevator, Cyan Elevator, Gray Elevator, Green Elevator, Light Blue Elevator, Light Gray Elevator, Lime Elevator, Magenta Elevator, Orange Elevator, Pink Elevator, Purple Elevator, Red Elevator, and Yellow Elevator each use their matching dye.

The mod registers both shaped and shapeless recipes, so the exact grid arrangement is flexible. Place the base block and the dye in a crafting table and pull the colored Elevator out.

Placing and Using

Place elevator blocks directly on top of each other in a vertical column. Stand on any elevator block and press the jump key to move up to the next elevator block above you. Press the sneak key to move down to the next elevator block below you.

Color matters: elevators only connect to other elevators of the same color. A column of Blue Elevator blocks will not carry you to a Red Elevator block. Keep one color per shaft so the jump and sneak controls move you predictably between floors.
