Reduce Screen Curvature for Gameplay Clarity

Access Shader Options

Open the Old TV Shaders settings menu from your in-game graphics or shader configuration panel.

Find Curvature or Barrel Distortion Setting

Look for a curvature, barrel distortion, or screen bend slider. This setting simulates the curved glass face of vintage tube televisions, creating a subtle bulge effect toward the screen edges.

Adjust the Slider

Reduce the curvature value if it interferes with your gameplay—particularly if you're doing precise work like redstone contraptions or detailed building. Lower values flatten the screen effect while maintaining the retro aesthetic. Completely disabling curvature removes the effect entirely.

Test in Different Scenarios

Check how your adjustment looks during exploration, building, and combat. Some players prefer full curvature for immersion but reduce it when precision matters.

Save Your Configuration

Apply and save your changes. The mod will maintain your preference across sessions.

Note: Screen curvature is purely visual and doesn't affect actual gameplay mechanics—it's entirely a matter of personal preference and visual comfort.
