Enable or Disable Color Distortion Effects
Open Shader Configuration
Access the Old TV Shaders settings menu from your in-game video or shader options. The configuration panel contains toggles and sliders for individual visual effects.
Locate Color Distortion Settings
Find the color shift, color distortion, or chromatic aberration option. This setting applies the vintage color separation effect that mimics old CRT monitors, where red, green, and blue channels slightly separate at screen edges.
Toggle On or Off
If you prefer a cleaner look without the color fringing, disable this effect entirely. If you want maximum retro authenticity, keep it enabled. Some players toggle it based on their current activity—disabling it for detailed building work and enabling it for exploration.
Fine-Tune Intensity
If your shader offers a distortion strength slider, adjust it to control how pronounced the effect appears. Lower values create subtle vintage feel; higher values intensify the authentic CRT look.
Apply Changes
Save your configuration and observe the changes in different environments to ensure the setting matches your preference.
