Edit and Customize Horse Models with Blockbench
Open the Source Files
The Old Horse Model includes two Blockbench project files (.bbmodel format) in the pack. Extract or locate these files and open them in Blockbench. You'll see the complete 3D model structure with all bones, textures, and animations laid out for editing.
Make Your Edits
You can modify:
- Geometry: Adjust bone sizes, positions, and proportions to create a unique horse shape
- Textures: Repaint the included texture files to add custom markings, colors, or patterns
- Animations: Edit existing animations or create new ones for different movements
Export and Test
Once you've finished editing, export your modified model back into the resource pack structure. Replace the original model files and reload your resource pack in-game to see your changes applied to all horses. Test in a world with various horses to ensure your edits work correctly across different coat colors and armor types.
