Activate the Old Horse Model in Your Game

Load the Resource Pack

Once you've placed the Old Horse Model pack into your resource packs folder, you need to enable it in-game. Open the main menu and navigate to Options → Resource Packs. You'll see a list of available packs on the left side. Find "Old Horse Model" and click the arrow button to move it to the active packs list on the right.

Verify Entity Model Features is Running

The Old Horse Model requires Entity Model Features to function properly. Make sure this mod is installed and active in your mod loader. Without it, the custom horse geometry won't display—you'll see the default modern horse instead.

Test Your Setup

Once both the resource pack and mod are active, load into a world and travel to a plains or savanna biome to find wild horses. You should immediately notice the thicker neck, blocky body shape, and distinctive snout from the classic design. If horses still look modern, double-check that Entity Model Features is loaded and the resource pack is positioned at the top of your active list.
