Make Water and Reflections Look Better
Access Water Settings
Open the Old Doggo Shaders configuration panel via Options → Video Settings → Shaders and look for water-specific options. These controls affect how water surfaces render under the cartoon lighting system.
Adjust Water Transparency
If water appears too opaque or too transparent, locate the water clarity or opacity slider. The cartoon style can make underwater visibility tricky—adjust until you can see the ocean floor clearly while maintaining the stylized appearance.
Enable Reflections (If Available)
Some shader configurations include reflection toggles for water surfaces. Enabling reflections adds visual depth to oceans and lakes but costs performance. Test whether your hardware handles it smoothly before committing.
Compare Different Water Biomes
Visit warm oceans, cold oceans, and rivers to see how settings affect different water colors. The cartoon aesthetic should make water distinctly colorful rather than realistic—if it looks too muted, increase saturation or brightness slightly. Adjust until water feels vibrant and readable.
