Adjust Brightness and Contrast for Your Display

Access Shader Settings

Open your pause menu while in-game, then navigate to Options → Video Settings → Shaders. Select Old Doggo Shaders from the list to open its configuration panel.

Modify Lighting Values

Look for brightness and contrast sliders in the shader options. The cartoon aesthetic can appear very bright on some monitors, so you may need to reduce overall brightness if colors feel washed out. Conversely, if your screen is dim, increase brightness to see the vibrant block colors clearly.

Fine-Tune Saturation

If available, adjust color saturation to control how vivid the cartoon colors appear. Lower saturation creates a softer look, while higher values make biomes and blocks pop more dramatically.

Test Your Changes

Apply settings and explore different biomes—grassy areas, water, and nether blocks will show the most dramatic color shifts. Adjust until the aesthetic feels comfortable for extended play sessions. Remember that outdoor lighting differs from caves, so test in both environments before finalizing your preferences.
