Using the Biomepedia to Plan Exploration

Biomepedia is the in-game reference item for this mod. Craft or obtain it, then keep it in your hotbar while exploring so you can look up biomes and the blocks and plants tied to them.

What to Look Up

Use Biomepedia to identify biomes before you travel. It helps you decide where to go for specific resources: Ametrine Ore underground, Anthracite Ore and Anthracite Block for fuel and building, Black Sand and Black Sandstone for the sandstone family, and Black Ice for cold regions. Flower and plant entries such as Allium Flower Bush, Aloe Vera, Alpine Bellflower, Amaranth, Angelica, Begonia, Bistort, Black Rose, Beach Grass, and Barrel Cactus tell you what grows where.

Planning a Resource Run

Pick a target from Biomepedia, note the biome it belongs to, then pack accordingly. For wood runs, the mod offers Aspen, Baobab, and Blue Enchanted families, each with a full set of planks, stairs, slabs, fences, doors, and boats. For stone, plan around stonecutting so you can convert base blocks into slabs, stairs, and cut variants on site.

Cross-Referencing Recipes

Biomepedia pairs well with a crafting table and stonecutter at base. Check the entry, gather the raw block or plant, then process it. Smelting, blasting, smoking, and campfire cooking are all present, so food and ore processing have multiple routes depending on what equipment you have.
