Crafting the Full Aspen Wood Set

Aspen is a complete wood family: Aspen Log, Aspen Wood, Aspen Planks, and every derived block. Convert logs to planks first, then branch into the rest.

From Log to Planks

Break Aspen Logs from Aspen trees, or grow your own from an Aspen Sapling. Turn Aspen Log into Aspen Planks using the crafting grid. Aspen Wood is the bark-on variant, useful when you want a different texture than plain planks. From Aspen Planks you can craft the entire building set.

Building Blocks

Craft Aspen Stairs, Aspen Slab, Aspen Fence, Aspen Fence Gate, Aspen Door, Aspen Trapdoor, Aspen Pressure Plate, and Aspen Button from Aspen Planks. Aspen Sign and Aspen Hanging Sign are also available for labeling. Aspen Bookshelf needs planks plus books. Aspen Crafting Table gives you a themed workstation.

Boats and Storage

Aspen Boat carries you over water; Aspen Chest Boat adds a chest for hauling. Both are crafted from Aspen Planks. Use Aspen Planks as the base for every recipe in this set, and keep a stack of logs in reserve so you can restock planks without another tree run. The same log-to-planks-to-set pattern applies to Baobab and Blue Enchanted wood.
