Why Organization Matters

With 24 separate Jack O Lantern blocks — the base Jack o'Lantern plus Jack O Lantern 2 through Jack O Lantern 24 — your inventory and chests can fill up fast. Each variant is a distinct registry item, so they will not stack with one another.

Setting Up a Storage System

Dedicate one double chest to your Jack O Lantern collection. Split it into rows: put the base Jack o'Lantern and the low-numbered variants (Jack O Lantern 2 through Jack O Lantern 12) in the top half, and the higher-numbered variants (Jack O Lantern 13 through Jack O Lantern 24) in the bottom half.

Label the chest with a sign so you can find it quickly. If you craft in bulk, keep a second chest near your crafting table for overflow and move finished blocks to the main storage once you are done.

When building, carry only the variants you plan to place. Leave the rest stored so you do not lose track of which numbers you have already crafted. If you are missing a variant, check your crafting materials before assuming the recipe failed — shaped recipes will not output if the grid layout is wrong.
