Using Oct Path Shaders for Screenshots
Taking Better Screenshots
Oct Path Shaders is designed primarily as a screenshot shader pack. Enable it when you want to capture your builds with realistic lighting and shadows, then disable it for normal gameplay.
The shader uses path tracing to calculate how light bounces naturally across your world, creating detailed shadows and reflections. An octree acceleration structure keeps performance reasonable during rendering.
Because path tracing is computationally expensive, expect slower frame rates while the shader is active. This is normal and expected for a screenshot tool. Take your time composing shots, then save the results. The realistic lighting effects are most noticeable in areas with varied terrain, water, and architectural details.
