Make Tooltips More Readable in Low-Light Gaming Sessions
Understanding Tooltip Contrast
Obelisk Frontline Visuals optimizes tooltip backgrounds and text color to work against the dark UI, but in very dim room lighting, item descriptions can still feel hard to read. The pack uses muted tones intentionally to fit the industrial aesthetic.
Improving Readability Without Breaking Immersion
Increase your monitor's brightness or gamma settings slightly during long play sessions. Alternatively, adjust the resource pack's tooltip text color files to use lighter grays or off-whites instead of the default muted palette. This keeps the tactical feel while improving contrast.
You can also enable Accessibility Settings in Minecraft (Options > Accessibility) to increase UI scale, which makes text larger and easier to read at a glance.
Balancing Atmosphere and Comfort
If you're building a horror or dark sci-fi world, resist over-brightening tooltips—the slight strain of reading reinforces the survival atmosphere. For extended play sessions, however, prioritize eye comfort. The pack's design supports both approaches.
