Adjust Shader Settings for Your Hardware
Access the Shader Menu
Press the key to open the shader options menu (default is usually a dedicated key in the pause screen or shader settings panel). You'll see a list of adjustable parameters organized by category.
Choose Your Performance Profile
Look for the profile or quality preset option. Nythra offers multiple tiers designed for different systems:
- Low-end profiles reduce shadow detail, lower water quality, and simplify lighting calculations to maintain smooth framerates on modest hardware
- Mid-range profiles balance visual fidelity with performance
- High-end/cinematic profiles enable full shadow resolution, advanced water reflections, and enhanced lighting effects
Select the profile that matches your PC's capabilities.
Fine-Tune Individual Settings
Once you've chosen a base profile, you can adjust specific features:
- Shadow distance and softness
- Water reflection quality and wave intensity
- Lighting saturation and contrast
- Ambient light levels for nighttime visibility
Make small changes and observe the impact on both visuals and framerate. Save your configuration when satisfied.
