Adjust Shader Settings for Better Performance
Access the Shader Menu
While in-game, open your shader options through the Video Settings menu. Look for the Shader Options button—this opens the Noxara Shaders configuration panel where all visual tweaks live.
Balance Quality and Framerate
Noxara Shaders provides several sliders and toggles to match your hardware:
- Shadow Quality: Lower this setting if you're experiencing frame drops. Reducing shadow detail is one of the most effective ways to improve performance while keeping the warm, cozy aesthetic.
- Water Reflections: Toggle reflection clarity on or off. Disabling reflections significantly boosts framerate on budget systems.
- Plant Waving: The subtle animation of grass and leaves can be disabled entirely if needed.
- Sky Gradients: These subtle atmospheric effects have minimal impact but can be toggled for extra performance headroom.
Test and Refine
After each adjustment, spend a few minutes in different biomes—forests, water areas, and open plains—to see how changes affect both visuals and framerate. The shader is designed to look good across all settings, so don't hesitate to dial back features. You can always re-enable them later if your system handles it better than expected.
