How to Craft and Place Your First Tent

Build the Tent Frame

Start by crafting a Tent Frame. You also need a Tent Mallet to place the structure. Once you have both, hold the Tent Frame and use it on the ground where you want the tent to stand. The frame marks the footprint of the structure before any walls or roof go up.

Add the Layers

Tents are built from layers. Use a Tent Canvas on the placed frame to add the canvas layer. Each tent type uses its own frame and wall blocks: Bedouin Frame and Bedouin Wall for the Bedouin, Indlu Frame and Indlu Wall for the Indlu, Shamiyana Frame and Shamiyana Wall Section for the Shamiyana, and Tepee Frame and Tepee Wall for the Tepee. Apply the matching layer blocks to the frame until the tent is complete. The Tent Mallet is the tool that finalizes and adjusts the placed structure.

Pick a Size

Tents come in Small, Medium, Large, Giant, and Mega versions. The size determines how much interior space you get. Craft the size you want before placing, since the frame and door blocks are size-specific — for example Small Bedouin Door versus Mega Bedouin Door. A completed tent gives you a portable shelter you can pack up and move.
