Finding Alligators Naturally

Alligators spawn randomly in your world according to the mod's pre-configured spawn settings. They typically appear in water-adjacent biomes and swampy terrain. Search near rivers, swamps, and shallow water areas, especially during exploration.

Preparing for Combat

Alligators are hostile mobs with multiple attack patterns, including chomps and a devastating death roll ability. Approach with caution:

• Bring armor and weapons appropriate to your world difficulty
• Keep distance when the alligator begins its death roll animation—this is its most dangerous attack
• Use ranged weapons or hit-and-run tactics to avoid taking damage
• Water provides no safety advantage; alligators are fully aquatic hunters

Collecting Drops

When defeated, alligators drop vanilla-configured loot. Collect these drops as you would from any hostile mob. The exact items vary based on your server's MythicMobs configuration, but expect materials useful for crafting or trading.
