Why name tags might still be visible

If player name tags are still floating above heads after installing the data pack, the issue usually stems from conflicting settings or incomplete activation.

Verify the data pack is active

1. Open your world and type /datapack list in chat

2. Look for the No Player Nametags data pack in the enabled list

3. If it shows as disabled, enable it with /datapack enable "file/[datapack name]" and reload the world

Check for conflicting mods or packs

Other data packs or mods that modify player visibility or teams may override this pack's effects. Disable competing packs temporarily to test.

Reset player teams

If players were in teams before installation, old team settings might persist. Use /team list to see all teams, then remove players from non-essential teams with /team leave [player name]. This clears conflicting configurations and lets the data pack's settings take effect properly.
