Re-enable name tags for specific players or teams
Using teams to show selective name tags
While the data pack hides all player name tags by default, you can use Minecraft's team system to selectively reveal names for trusted players or groups.
Steps
1. Open the chat and use /team create to make a new team (for example, /team create visible)
2. Add players to this team using /team join visible @p or /team join visible [player name]
3. Configure the team's name visibility with /team modify visible nametagVisibility always
4. Repeat for other groups if needed
Removing players from teams
If you want to hide a player's name again after adding them to a visible team, use /team leave [player name] to remove them from that team. They'll return to the default hidden state.
Checking team status
Use /team list to see all active teams, or /team list [team name] to view members of a specific team. This helps you manage who can see whose name tags across your server.
