Adjust how far you can see before fog appears

Fine-tuning fog distance with sliders

Instead of removing fog completely, you can push it further back to maintain some atmospheric effect while improving visibility.

1. Open Video Settings (pause menu → Video Settings)

2. Locate the No Fog Perfected distance sliders

3. Adjust the slider for your chosen dimension or fluid type

4. Move the slider toward 100% to push fog further away, or toward 0% to bring it closer

5. Close the menu—changes save automatically

Using commands for precise control

For exact control without the menu:

1. Open chat and type /nofog <type> set <value> where:

• <type> is the fog category (overworld, nether, end, water, lava, or powder_snow)
• <value> is a number from 0 to 100

2. Press Enter

3. Type /nofog <type> to verify the new distance value

Higher values = fog pushed further back. Lower values = fog closer to you. This approach works without Sodium installed.
