How Blindness Effects Work With This Mod

When you're hit by a blindness splash potion or lingering potion cloud, the mod prevents the usual pitch-black screen overlay from appearing. Your view remains clear and unobstructed, letting you navigate and fight normally even while the blindness status effect is active on your character.

What Still Happens

The blindness *status effect* itself remains active—you'll still see the blindness icon in your status bar and the effect duration will count down. However, the visual penalty (the dark screen) is completely removed. This means:

• You can see mobs and terrain clearly
• You can still take damage and move normally
• The effect will wear off at the normal rate
• Other status effects display as usual

Practical Combat Tips

Use this to your advantage in PvP or when fighting mobs that inflict blindness. Since you retain full vision, you can continue attacking and defending without the usual disorientation. Keep moving to avoid additional potion hits, and consider carrying milk buckets to cleanse the effect early if needed.
