Enable Night Vision Goggles and Adjust the Green Tint Intensity
Activating the Shader
Night Vision Goggles Shaders activates automatically once installed in your shader pack folder. Launch Minecraft and the green night-vision filter will apply to your entire screen.
Controlling Tint Strength
If the green overlay feels too intense or too dim, access your shader settings through the Shader Options menu (usually found in Video Settings). Look for brightness, contrast, or color intensity sliders specific to the night-vision effect. Adjust these values until the green tint feels comfortable for extended play sessions.
If your shader pack includes a toggle option, you can temporarily disable the effect to compare vanilla visibility, then re-enable it to find your preferred balance. Some versions allow you to modify the saturation of the green channel separately from overall brightness.
Testing in Different Lighting
Test your settings in multiple environments: deep caves, surface night, and indoors. This ensures the tint remains readable without causing eye strain in any situation. Caves should reveal ore and mobs clearly, while surface exploration should still feel immersive rather than washed out.
