How to Set Up a Blackstone Furnace, Blast Furnace and Stove

Build the basic furnace first

Start with the Blackstone Furnace. Craft it from blackstone, then place it as your first heat source in the Nether. It works like a normal furnace, so use it to smelt the raw materials you gather while exploring.

Once you have a Blackstone Furnace running, upgrade your cooking setup with the Blackstone Blast Furnace. This is the faster smelting station for the ores and metals you pull out of Nether terrain. Keep both side by side so you can smelt food and metal at the same time.

Add the Blackstone Stove

The Blackstone Stove is the cooking block you want for preparing meals rather than smelting. Place it near your storage so you can move ingredients straight from chests to the stove.

Use the stove for the cooking recipes in this mod, including Strider Moss Stew and Magma Gelatin. Keep a stack of bowls and a supply of Nether ingredients nearby, because cooking recipes consume containers and ingredients together.

Keep the three stations organised

Line up Blackstone Furnace, Blackstone Blast Furnace and Blackstone Stove in one row. Feed the furnace with fuel, use the blast furnace for quick metal work, and leave the stove free for food. This layout means you never have to walk between distant stations when a recipe needs a specific heat source.
