How to Craft and Use a Kiln in NetherEx

Building the Kiln

The Kiln is the core processing block for NetherEx brick production. Craft it before you start any brick work, because every colored Nether Brick variant depends on it.

Place the Kiln like a furnace and interact with it to open its interface. It accepts fuel and input the same way a furnace does, so any fuel you already use in the Nether works here.

What to Process

Feed raw materials into the Kiln to produce the base brick items: Fiery Nether Brick, Gloomy Nether Brick, Lively Nether Brick, and the other colored brick outputs. These base bricks are the ingredients for the full family of building blocks.

Once you have base bricks, you can craft them into the decorative set. Each color has a matching Bricks block, plus Slab, Stairs, Wall, Fence, and Fence Gate variants. For example, Fiery Nether Bricks can be crafted into Fiery Nether Brick Slab, Fiery Nether Brick Stairs, Fiery Nether Brick Wall, Fiery Nether Brick Fence, and Fiery Nether Brick Fence Gate.

Chiseled and Cracked Variants

Take your base Bricks block and craft it into a Chiseled version for a detailed face pattern, or a Cracked version for a weathered look. Every color supports both: Chiseled Fiery Nether Bricks and Cracked Fiery Nether Bricks, and the same for Ashen, Crimson, Gloomy, Lively, and Warped.

Keep a stack of each base brick on hand so you can branch into whichever variant your build needs without returning to the Kiln.
