Polished Netherrack

Polished Netherrack is a smooth building block made from Netherrack. Craft it at a crafting table, then use it as a clean alternative to raw Netherrack in floors, walls, and pillars.

Polished Netherrack has a full shape set. Craft Polished Netherrack Slab, Polished Netherrack Stairs, and Polished Netherrack Wall for structural detail. For fencing, craft Polished Netherrack Fence and Polished Netherrack Fence Gate.

Polished Glowstone

Polished Glowstone is the light-emitting counterpart. Craft it from Glowstone at a crafting table. It keeps the glow while giving you a flat, tiled surface instead of the lumpy vanilla look.

Like Polished Netherrack, it has a complete set: Polished Glowstone Slab, Polished Glowstone Stairs, Polished Glowstone Wall, Polished Glowstone Fence, and Polished Glowstone Fence Gate.

Chiseled Versions

Both materials have a Chiseled form. Craft Chiseled Polished Netherrack for a carved face on your Netherrack builds, and Chiseled Polished Glowstone for a patterned light block. Use these as accent pieces in the middle of a wall or as a ceiling centerpiece.

Build Tips

Pair Polished Netherrack Slabs with Polished Glowstone Stairs to make lit stairwells. Use Polished Glowstone Fence Gate as a light source at the top of a fence line so your perimeter glows without torches.
