Set Up Custom Name Reveal Formatting
Edit the Configuration File
Open your plugin's configuration file and locate the nicknameFormat setting. This controls how player names appear when you right-click on someone.
Apply Color and Format Codes
The plugin supports Minecraft's standard color codes using the § character. Common codes include:
- `` for gold
- `` for white
- `` for bold text
- `` to reset formatting
For example, the default format '-[%nickname%]-' displays names in brackets with gold accents.
Use Placeholders
Replace %nickname% with the player's actual name when revealed. If you have PlaceholderAPI installed, you can also use its supported placeholders to add rank tags, prefixes, or other custom information alongside the nickname.
Test Your Changes
Save the configuration file, then run /nametagHider reload in-game to apply your formatting without restarting the server. Right-click a player to see how your custom format displays.
