Resolve Scoreboard Team Name Conflicts

Identify Conflicts

If another plugin or system on your server uses scoreboard teams, the default team name NametagHider may conflict. Check your server logs for errors related to team registration.

Change the Team Name

Open the configuration file and locate the scoreboardTeam section. Under name:, replace 'NametagHider' with a unique identifier that won't conflict with other plugins (for example, 'NTH_Hidden' or 'StealthTeam').

Update Display Name

Optionally, change the displayName field to a descriptive label. This name appears in UI elements and doesn't affect functionality—use it to help you identify the team's purpose.

Clean Up Old Teams

The plugin does not automatically remove old scoreboard teams when you change the name. If you've previously used a different team name, manually remove it using commands or your server's team management tools to keep your scoreboard clean.

Reload and Verify

Save your changes and run /nametagHider reload. The plugin will now use your new team name without conflicts.
