Using Aphrodite Essence and the Brush

Two Special Items

Aphrodite Essence and the Brush are two mod items that do not come from cooking or from animal drops in the same way as meat and fur. Keep both in your inventory when working with Mystical Wildlife animals.

The Brush

Hold the Brush and use it on a Mystical Wildlife animal. Brushing is the tool-based interaction for these creatures, so carry it whenever you approach Dusk Lurker, Vrontausaurus, Plumper, Krill, Yaga Hog, or any Cicaptera variant. Bring a spare Brush in case one is lost.

Aphrodite Essence

Aphrodite Essence is a mod item used in crafting and animal interaction. Store it separately from husks and fur so you do not accidentally consume it in a shaped recipe. The mod includes three shaped crafting recipes, and Aphrodite Essence is one of the inputs you may need.

Workflow

Spawn the animal with its spawn egg, brush it with the Brush, then collect the drops. Combine Aphrodite Essence with husks, fur, tufts, blubber, or Dusk Ash when a shaped recipe requires it. Cook any raw meat you collect in a furnace, smoker, or campfire to get the cooked version.
