Turning Cicaptera Husks into Useful Materials

Husk Variants

Cicaptera come in six variants, each dropping its own husk: Azure Cicaptera Husk, Crimson Cicaptera Husk, Lovely Cicaptera Husk, Sandy Cicaptera Husk, Verdant Cicaptera Husk, and Wintry Cicaptera Husk. Each variant also has a matching spawn egg.

Collecting Husks

Spawn the Cicaptera variant you want using its spawn egg, then defeat it to obtain the corresponding husk. If you need a specific colour, use only that variant's spawn egg so you do not mix husks.

Using Husks in Crafting

The mod includes three shaped crafting recipes. Husks are the natural ingredient to combine with other mod materials. Gather a stock of each husk colour before you start, because shaped recipes consume exact counts.

Pair husks with other drops such as Dusk Ash, Dusk Lurker Fur, Dusk Lurker Fur Tuft, Vrontausaurus Fur, Vrontausaurus Fur Tuft, or Plumper Blubber when a recipe calls for them. Keep husks sorted by colour in separate chests so you can find the right one quickly.

Related Drops

Cicaptera also yield Raw Cicaptera, which cooks into Cooked Cicaptera. Process the raw meat in a furnace, smoker, or campfire and store the husks separately for crafting.
