Making Cruxes for Dragon Egg, Nether Star, and Other Endgame Crops

What Cruxes Are

Cruxes are special blocks that let you grow otherwise unobtainable materials as crops. Mystical Agradditions includes Awakened Draconium Crux, Dragon Egg Crux, Gaia Spirit Crux, Nether Star Crux, Neutronium Crux, and Nitro Crystal Crux. Each crux is placed under the corresponding seed's farmland to allow that crop to grow.

Crafting a Crux

Cruxes are made at a crafting table using materials from the relevant mod plus Mystical Agriculture essences. For example, the Nether Star Crux uses Nether Star Shards, and the Dragon Egg Crux uses Dragon Egg Chunks. Check each crux's recipe in JEI to see the exact ingredients — they vary by tier and by the material they represent.

Growing the Crop

Place the crux block, put farmland on top (Insanium Farmland works for the highest tiers), and plant the matching seed. The crop will grow and eventually drop the material — for example, a Dragon Egg Crux crop yields Dragon Egg Chunks, which you can combine into a full Dragon Egg. Nether Star Crux crops yield Nether Star Shards for crafting Nether Stars. This is the intended path to renewable endgame materials.
