How to Get Dragon Scale

Where Dragon Scale Comes From

Dragon Scale is not something you craft directly. It drops as a mob or boss reward, so your job is to reach the fight and survive it. The mod's own progression gate for that fight is the Dragon Egg Crux, which is one of the crux blocks in the registry alongside Awakened Draconium Crux, Gaia Spirit Crux, Nether Star Crux, Neutronium Crux, and Nitro Crystal Crux.

Steps

1. Build up your Mystical Agriculture essence tiers first. You need the full chain working: Inferium, Prudentium, Tertium, Imperium, Supremium, and finally Insanium. Insanium comes from Insanium Essence, and it can be stored as Insanium Gemstone, Insanium Ingot, Insanium Nugget, or Insanium Block.

2. Craft the Dragon Egg Crux. Cruxes are the mod's boss-summoning blocks, and the Dragon Egg Crux is the one tied to the dragon encounter that yields Dragon Scale.

3. Place the Dragon Egg Crux and trigger the fight. Come with strong gear. The Awakened Supremium Paxel and the lower paxels (Insanium Paxel, Supremium Paxel, Imperium Paxel, Tertium Paxel, Prudentium Paxel, Inferium Paxel) are tools, not weapons, so bring a real sword and armour.

4. Collect the Dragon Scale from the kill. Keep it — it feeds into the mod's top-tier crafting and awakening recipes.

If you cannot yet make the Dragon Egg Crux, you are not ready for the fight. Push your essence farm up to Insanium first.
