How to Make Copper Ingots and Copper Gear

From Ore to Ingot

Mine Copper Ore with a pickaxe. Smelt or blast the ore to get Copper Ingot. Copper Dust is also available as a processed form. If you only have nugget-sized material, combine Copper Nugget into ingots the usual way.

Building and Equipping

Copper Block is crafted from Copper Ingots. From the Copper Block you can stonecut Copper Slab, Copper Stairs, Copper Wall, Copper Small Post, and Copper Wide Post for building.

For gear, craft from Copper Ingots:

• Copper Helmet, Copper Chestplate, Copper Leggings, Copper Boots
• Copper Sword, Copper Pickaxe, Copper Axe, Copper Shovel, Copper Hoe
• Copper Knife and Copper Spear

Copper tools sit between stone and iron in usefulness, so they are a good early target if you find Copper Ore before iron. Keep a stack of ingots spare for both armor and building blocks.

Quick Loop

1. Mine Copper Ore.

2. Smelt into Copper Ingot.

3. Craft tools and armor, or compress into Copper Block for decoration.

4. Stonecut the block into slabs, stairs, walls and posts.
