How to Find Deep Dark Creatures Underground

Marshadow and Guzzlord lurk in the Deep Dark biome, the deepest and darkest underground region. This is a dangerous hunt requiring preparation.

Locating the Deep Dark

The Deep Dark spawns at very low Y-levels, typically below Y=0. You'll recognize it by its dark, sculk-covered terrain and eerie atmosphere. Use a cave system or mine straight down to reach it.

Hunting Strategy

1. Dig or cave down to the lowest levels of your world

2. Search for the Deep Dark biome's distinctive sculk blocks

3. Bring plenty of light sources—torches, lanterns, or glowstone

4. Watch for Sculk Sensors that trigger when you move; they alert Wardens

5. Move slowly and carefully to avoid spawning hostile mobs

6. Search open areas and caverns for Marshadow and Guzzlord spawns

Combat Preparation

Bring Pokémon strong against Dark and Ghost types. Stock healing items since the Deep Dark is dangerous. Consider bringing a Pokémon with a move that prevents the opponent from fleeing, as these creatures may try to escape. Ultra Balls are essential for capturing these ultra-rare encounters.
