How to Craft Instruments from Paper Scraps and Music Paper

Instruments in this mod are crafted items, not found loot. The chain starts at Paper Scraps and runs through Music Paper into the finished instrument.

The base materials

Collect Paper Scraps. Craft them into Music Paper using a crafting_shapeless recipe. Music Paper is the shared ingredient across the instrument recipes, so produce it in bulk before you start.

Crafting an instrument

Instrument recipes are crafting_shaped. Arrange Music Paper with the other required ingredients in the pattern the recipe shows to produce the instrument item. The full instrument list includes Accordion, Bagpipes, Banjo, Bassoon, Celesta, Cello, Clarinet, English Horn, Fiddle, Flute, Flute Pan, Glockenspiel, Harmonica, Harp, Harpsichord, Koto, Oboe, Ocarina, Piano, Piccolo, Recorder, Shamisen, Shenai, Sitar, Timpani, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba, Vibraphone, Viola, Violin, Xylophone, and the guitar, sax, drum, and wave variants.

Which to build first

Start with a single melodic instrument you can hear clearly, such as Flute, Piano, or Violin. Confirm you can play a Music Score through it. Then branch into the families you need: Guitar Steel and Guitar Nylon for plucked parts, Sax Alto through Sax Tenor for reeds, Drum Set Standard and Timpani for rhythm, Section Strings and Section Brass for ensemble backing. Build one of each family before duplicating any single instrument.
