Gathering the Pieces

The Mutant Wither Skeleton set has five slots: Mutant Wither Skeleton Boots, Mutant Wither Skeleton Leggings, Mutant Wither Skeleton Chestplate, Mutant Wither Skeleton Rib Cage, and Mutant Wither Skeleton Arms. Each is a separate crafted item, so you need enough materials to cover every slot before the set is complete.

Crafting Order

Start with the Chestplate and Leggings, since those cover the largest portion of your defense. Add the Boots next for mobility protection, then the Rib Cage as the helmet-slot piece. The Mutant Wither Skeleton Arms are the final piece and complete the look. All five use shaped crafting recipes, so lay the ingredients out in the pattern the recipe book shows.

Using the Set

Wear the full set when you go after wither-themed content. Pair it with the Withered Scimitar for a matching melee loadout, and keep a Wither Bomb in your offhand slot for emergencies. If you are also running the Mutant Shulker Shield, you can tank hits while closing distance. The Rib Cage and Arms are the pieces players most often forget, so double-check your armor slots before a fight.
