Set Up an Automatic Background Playlist for Your Server

Accessing Server Settings

If you're running a dedicated server, access the Music HUD Plugin configuration files. Server administrators can define a default playlist that plays when no players have requested songs.

Configuring the Background Playlist

1. Locate the playlist settings in the plugin configuration

2. Search for and select songs, albums, or playlists from NetEase Cloud Music to form your background rotation

3. Save your configuration

4. Restart the plugin or server to apply changes

How It Works

When the server queue is empty, the background playlist automatically begins playing. This keeps music flowing continuously and prevents silence during quiet moments. Once a player requests a song, it takes priority and plays next. When the queue empties again, the background playlist resumes. This creates a radio-station atmosphere for your server.
