Cooking Mushroom Quest Food: Miso Soup, Grilled Portobello, and Grilled Chicken of the Woods

Three Dishes

Mushroom Quest adds three prepared foods: Miso Soup, Grilled Portobello, and Grilled Chicken of the Woods. Miso Soup is also a block, so you can place it in the world as well as hold it. The two grilled dishes are the outputs of the mod's cooking recipes.

Cooking the Grilled Dishes

Grilled Portobello and Grilled Chicken of the Woods are produced by smelting, smoking, or campfire cooking — the mod uses all three recipe types. That means you have options depending on what you have built:

• A furnace smelts them.
• A smoker cooks them faster.
• A campfire cooks them without fuel.

Because both smelting and smoking recipes exist, you can pick whichever station is closest.

Making Miso Soup

Miso Soup is crafted, not cooked. It uses the mod's shapeless crafting recipes, so the arrangement of ingredients in the grid does not matter — only which items you include. Gather mushroom caps and combine them at a crafting table to produce Miso Soup. Once you have it, you can eat it or place it as a block. Keep a stack of caps on hand so you can craft soup in batches.
