Setting up a Class 80X train route with automated scheduling
Creating your first route
Use the MTR4 route creation tools to define a path for your Class 80X trains. Place stations at your desired stops and connect them with railway tracks. The mod integrates directly with MTR4's scheduling system, so once your track is laid, you can assign trains to run between stations automatically.
Configuring train spawning
When setting up your route, specify whether you want 5-car or 9-car formations—both are available in this pack. Choose your preferred livery (LNER Azuma, GWR Intercity Express, TransPennine Express, Avanti West Coast, or Virgin Trains East Coast) through the mod's configuration options. Set the train's speed and departure intervals using MTR4's scheduling interface.
Running bi-mode trains
If your network uses both electric and diesel sections, enable bi-mode operation. The Class 80X trains will automatically switch between electric pantograph power and diesel engine mode depending on the track type. This lets you build mixed networks without needing separate train types for each power system.
Once configured, your trains will spawn and follow the schedule automatically, stopping at each station and loading/unloading passengers.
