Choosing and applying different train liveries to your network
Understanding available liveries
This pack includes five distinct livery options: LNER Azuma (white and grey), GWR Intercity Express (green and gold), TransPennine Express (purple and white), Avanti West Coast (red and white), and Virgin Trains East Coast (red and blue). Each represents a real British train operator and can be applied independently to different routes.
Assigning liveries to routes
When creating or editing a route in MTR4, select your desired livery from the resource pack's options. You can assign different liveries to different routes, allowing you to run multiple operator-themed networks simultaneously. This is useful for creating realistic regional networks where different companies operate different lines.
Visual consistency tips
For immersion, match your station design and signage to the livery you choose. LNER routes work well with modern minimalist stations, while GWR liveries suit heritage-inspired designs. You can run multiple liveries on the same network to represent different train operators sharing infrastructure, just like in real Britain.
