Assemble a Complete TGV Train Set with Correct Bogie Spacing
Understanding TGV Train Composition
The TGV Sud-Est consists of power cars at each end and passenger cars in between. Each passenger car requires a standalone bogie placed underneath to function properly on the rails. This creates the authentic articulated suspension look.
Assembly Steps
1. Place your first power car on the rails, choosing either forward (F) or backward (B) orientation depending on which direction you want it facing.
2. Add a bogie directly under the connection point between the power car and the first passenger car.
3. Place your first passenger car (first-class, second-class, bar car, or end car) immediately after the bogie.
4. Repeat the bogie-then-car pattern for each additional passenger car you want to add.
5. Finish with the rear power car at the opposite end, again choosing F or B orientation.
Pantograph Selection
Before finalizing your consist, decide whether your overhead wire is 5 or 6 blocks high. Select power cars with matching pantograph heights to ensure proper electrical contact with your catenary system.
