How to Use the Unlock Token

What the Unlock Token Does

The Unlock Token is an item used to unlock additional Backpack functionality. Obtain it through its crafting recipe, then apply it to a Backpack to expand what that Backpack can do.

Applying the Token

Hold the Unlock Token and use it on a Backpack — either one you are wearing or one placed on a Backpack Dock or Backpack Shelf. The token is consumed and the Backpack gains its unlocked feature. Check the Backpack's interface afterward to confirm the change.

If you have multiple Backpacks, decide which one to upgrade first. Upgrading your main exploration Backpack usually gives the most benefit.

Managing Multiple Backpacks

• Keep spare Unlock Tokens in a chest near your Backpack Dock so you can upgrade new Backpacks as you craft them.
• Store upgraded Backpacks on Backpack Shelves to distinguish them from plain ones.
• If you replace a Backpack, remember the upgrade does not transfer automatically — apply a new Unlock Token to the replacement.

Combine Unlock Tokens with a well-organized shelf setup to keep every Backpack in your base ready for its role.
