How to Use the Backpack Dock

Placing the Dock

Craft a Backpack Dock using its shaped recipe, then place it on a solid block. The Dock is a block, so it sits in the world like a chest or furnace. Choose a spot near your crafting area, bed, or storage room where you frequently gear up.

Storing and Retrieving Your Backpack

With a Backpack equipped, interact with the Backpack Dock to hang your Backpack on it. The Backpack stays displayed on the Dock, keeping its contents safe. Interact again to take the Backpack back and re-equip it.

This is useful when you want to switch between tasks. Leave your exploration Backpack on the Dock while you work at base, then grab it again before heading out.

Why Use a Dock

• Keeps your Backpack off the ground and out of chests, so it is always visible and ready.
• Prevents accidentally leaving your Backpack behind when you teleport or travel.
• Works as a dedicated spot for one Backpack, ideal near an entrance or mine shaft.
