Crafting and Using the Earthrend Gauntlet and Spear

Earthrend Gauntlet Basics

The Earthrend Gauntlet is a melee weapon that hits with heavy impact. It is a crafting_shaped recipe. Gather the required materials from mob drops before heading to your crafting table. The Gauntlet is designed for players who want a slower, harder-hitting alternative to swords.

Spear Basics

The Spear is a reach weapon. It lets you strike enemies from a longer distance than a sword, which is useful against the Naga and other mobs that punish close-range fighting. Craft the Spear at a crafting table using its shaped recipe.

Combining Both

Carry the Earthrend Gauntlet in your main hand and the Spear in your offhand, or swap between them based on range. Use the Spear to poke enemies as they approach, then switch to the Gauntlet when they get close. This two-weapon loop works well against the Ferrous Wroughtnaut, whose slow swings give you time to reposition.

When to Craft Them

Craft the Spear early — it is cheaper and gives immediate reach. Save the Earthrend Gauntlet for after you have defeated at least one major boss, since its materials are harder to obtain.
