Crafting Wooden Armor

Wooden armor gives you a full set before you ever touch a furnace. Each piece is a shaped recipe using planks in the standard armor pattern.

• Wooden Helmet: three planks across the top row, one plank in the center of the middle row.
• Wooden Chestplate: eight planks filling every slot except the top-center.
• Wooden Leggings: seven planks filling the top and middle rows and the left and right of the bottom row.
• Wooden Boots: two planks in the middle row's left and right slots, two planks in the bottom row's left and right slots.

Craft the full set in one sitting if you have 24 planks on hand.

Upgrading to Stone Armor

Stone armor uses cobblestone in the same four patterns, so the layout you memorized for Wooden carries over directly.

• Stone Helmet: three cobblestone on top, one in the center.
• Stone Chestplate: eight cobblestone around the empty top-center slot.
• Stone Leggings: seven cobblestone in the leggings shape.
• Stone Boots: four cobblestone in the boots shape.

Because both sets use the same grid, you can craft Stone pieces the moment you have a pickaxe and cobblestone. Wear Wooden while mining, then swap each slot to Stone as you gather enough cobblestone. This gives you a cheap early progression path before you commit iron to armor.
