Crafting the Dawnstar, Draconic Blade, and Eye-end Blade

Three Swords, Three Shaped Recipes

Dawnstar, Draconic Blade, and Eye-end Blade are each made with a shaped crafting recipe. Each has its own grid layout, so you must arrange ingredients to match the specific sword you are making. Open a crafting table, lay out the pattern, and take the finished blade from the result slot.

Work through them one at a time. Finish Dawnstar, clear the grid, then set up Draconic Blade, then Eye-end Blade. Reusing a layout from one sword will not produce another.

Managing the Full Set

These three are part of the same nine-item group as Aether's Guard, Crystaline Blade, Glacial Edge, Gladiolus, Vampiric Blade, and Wither's Bane. Every item in the group uses a shaped recipe, so the crafting method never changes — only the ingredients and their positions.

If a recipe you want later uses one of these swords as a component, craft that sword first and hold onto it instead of using it. Because all recipes are shaped, keep your ingredients sorted in the grid and double-check placement before collecting the result. Storing spare materials in a chest beside your crafting table lets you re-run any of the three recipes quickly when you need a duplicate.
