Crafting the Crystaline Blade and Glacial Edge

Two Shaped Recipes, One Workflow

Crystaline Blade and Glacial Edge are both produced by shaped crafting recipes. That means each one has a fixed grid layout you must reproduce at a crafting table. Set up your table, lay out the ingredients in the exact pattern for the sword you want, and collect the result.

Do them one at a time. Finish the Crystaline Blade first, clear the grid, then arrange the Glacial Edge recipe. Mixing ingredients between the two layouts will not yield either sword.

Planning Materials

Both swords belong to the same nine-item set as Aether's Guard, Dawnstar, Draconic Blade, Eye-end Blade, Gladiolus, Vampiric Blade, and Wither's Bane. Every item in that set uses a shaped recipe, so the crafting logic is consistent across the whole group.

Before you start, decide whether you need both swords or just one. If a later recipe you want uses Crystaline Blade or Glacial Edge as an ingredient, craft that one first and keep it in your inventory rather than equipping it. Because the recipes are shaped, double-check the grid against the recipe each time — a single misplaced ingredient wastes the whole craft. Store spare components in a chest near your crafting table so you can re-run a recipe quickly if you need a second copy.
