How to Use Bundled Cable and Cable Junctions

What Bundled Cable Does

Bundled Cable carries multiple colored channels through a single block. Each color — Black Cable, Blue Cable, Brown Cable, Cyan Cable, Gray Cable, Green Cable, Light Blue Cable, Light Gray Cable, Lime Cable, Magenta Cable, Orange Cable, Pink Cable, Purple Cable, Red Cable, White Cable, Yellow Cable — is a separate signal inside the same run. Craft Bundled Cable Spool to place long runs quickly.

Routing and Splitting

1. Run Bundled Cable between your source and destination.

2. At a crossing, place a Cable Junction so two runs pass without mixing channels.

3. Where a run is too long, insert a Cable Relay to carry the bundled signal onward.

4. At the destination, split the bundle back into individual colors by running each color out as its own Cable.

Connecting to Logic

Feed individual colors from the bundle into logic blocks such as an AND Gate, OR Gate, XOR Gate, or NOT Gate. Use a Multiplexer when you want to select which of several bundled channels reaches the output, and a Bitwise Multiplexer when you are switching whole groups of bits at once. A Distributor sends one input to several outputs, which is useful when a single decoded channel must drive multiple machines.
