How to Craft and Use a Diode (Repeater) in More Red

The Diode is the More Red equivalent of a repeater: it takes a redstone signal on one side and outputs it on the opposite side, allowing you to route signals directionally and extend them over distance.

Crafting

Place a Diode in a crafting grid using the shaped recipe. The Diode is produced through crafting_shaped, so arrange the ingredients in the pattern shown in your recipe book. If you already have a Diode and want to change its behavior, use Pliers on it to rotate or configure it in place.

Using It

1. Place the Diode on the ground.

2. Feed a redstone signal into the input side (the back).

3. Read the output from the front face.

4. Use Pliers to rotate the Diode so its input and output point where you need them.

The Diode only passes signal in one direction, so it is the block to reach for when you need to stop a signal from flowing backward into your source. Chain several Diodes to carry a signal across a long run of cable or wire. Combine it with Cable Relay and Cable Junction to split and re-route the signal through your build. For logic that depends on a signal arriving at a specific time, place a Pulse Gate after the Diode.
